Saturday at EUDI European Dive Show

ADEX Bluewave Conference presentation

Over 250 exhibitors reach the fair, and it was fascinating to see everything from underwater drones to 1900’s diving suits, military submarines from WW2 to conservation programmes, there was truly something for everyone’s appetite, regardless your interest in the dive industry.

After a 5:30am departure from Naples, we arrived at the EUDI European Dive Show just before midday. This left enough time to visit all the stands, and to get a look at everything that was on offer. Bologna Fiere appeared to make a great location. Plenty of space and accessible from the train station. We could have chosen the bus for a more cost-efficient option of travel, however a taxi was good value, and we had already missed the morning, so were eager to get there.

Many industry-leading brands were present to showcase their best and newest developments. Liveaboard operators were there to discuss exciting itineraries and share tips on the best times to visit certain locations. Scientists and conservation collectives were present to inform everyone about new research, and how they are tackling issues that our oceans and civilizations are faced with on a daily basis. Food and refreshments were available throughout the day.

I would certainly recommend the show for:

  • Those looking to find out developments in dive and ocean technology
  • For inspiration on where to travel next for the best diving, and to find some great deals from operators exclusive for visitors to the EUDI show
  • Photography fanatics who can learn from the many presentations about techniques on shooting, new gear, and places to capture unique shots

See you next year, at EUDI!
